MEET OUR ASN AMBASSADOR - RENEE KER

ABOUT ME- "BIO"

I am a triathlete and a triathlon coach based in Cairns....I am at my happiest when I can help athletes overcome their own personal and fitness barriers and kick some serious ass in the triathlon world. I have cycled from Brisbane to Townsville over 8 days and competed in three triathlon Ironman events and still planning things now that people deem impossible. I love pushing the boundaries and believe you get out of life what you put in!

CURRENT FITNESS/HEALTH GOALS

To qualify again for the world champs in Mexico for 2016, then race really well and finish in the top ten! Following that qualify for a 70.3 Ironman world championships for 2017 I wish to do another extreme charity fundraiser over the next three years and be the first to do something HUGE! But I cant tell you just yet!! Its a secret!

NUTRITION (EXAMPLE OF MY CURRENT DIET)

Oats for breakfast with a home made lunch such as stirfry veges and turkey mince with brown rice and quinoa. Lots of fresh fruit and boiled eggs as snacks. I undoubtedly have a sweet tooth so if i have had a big training session its often a handful of jellybean's or a bounty that gets me through work. Dinner is often chicken and veges with a slice of gluten free toast and almond butter as a late night snack!

TRAINING (CURRENT TRAINING)

training between 7-12 times a week 3 swim squads per week 3-4 running sessions per week (running between 8-25km per day) 3 cycling sessions per week 2 gym sessions per week for strength work Plus lots of core training!!!!

Evolve - Green Machine - upon waking up Nutrabolics - Animos - whilst training Endura performance - whilst training Evolve L-Glutamine - whilst training and with protein after workout. If heavy training or racing also before bed. Body Science - dairy free protein - straight after a work out
