MEET OUR ASN CHALLENGER - Debra Stokes

ABOUT ME- "BIO"

I am a mother of four, I work as a cleaner and my hobbies include watching my children show horses. My biggest motivation to do the challenge was my daughters wedding coming up and I didn't want to be the " fat mother" of the bride.

LIFE BEFORE THE CHALLENGE

After having four children I could not get rid of my weight, I kept gaining it , I tried many diets but nothing seemed to work, I felt tired all the time and had no energy. The weight caused me to have high blood pressure and other health problems. I was depressed over my weight.

My Challenge Journey...

At first I struggled with the challenge, luckily I had a friend who had already gone through with the challenge who helped me over come it , Margret Webb-Pettet. My biggest eye opener was meal sizes and learning when to have certain things. When it came to exercises the first three weeks were the hardest , Margret would motivate me when I was struggling.

TRAINING SCHEDULE (CURRENT TRAINING)

When I woke up in the mornings I would go for a 1 kilometre walk, in the afternoon after work I started with short walks and each afternoon I would increase the distance until I could walk 8 kilometres a day, on weekends I would walk 10.5 kilometres a day as I had more time, Sundays being my day off I would still go for a walk. Exercise routine Monday were arm days, Tuesday leg days, Wednesday was a rest day , Thursday was arms, Friday was legs , Saturday legs and arms, sunday rest day.

CURRENT SUPPLEMENT STACK (INCLUDING"WHEN" YOU TAKE THEM)

Supplements I used was evolve protein. I used casein protein custard as a desert, another evolve protein powder.

MY RESULTS

I went from 90kilos down to 70 kilos , I went from squashing into a size 18 jeans to now a comfortable size 12 , I feel good about myself , im proud of the things ive overcome and achieved, Im no longer on medications for my blood pressure and all my other health issues are gone. Ive found myself joining activities I never would have considered like the colour run. I showed up to my daughters wedding in a beautiful dress and felt amazing, I have also started showing my own miniature horses as now I feel confident within my self to be able to do it . I can now also put on a pair of swimmers without feeling embarrassed.
