These are the only products that are legally allowed to make a therapeutic claim in advertising i.e. 'weight loss', 'fat-burning', 'thermogenic' & 'energy boosting'.

The TGA regularly monitors stores & on-line businesses, to make sure product advertising is correct. It is the responsibility of all product owners & their on-sellers, to advertise their products correctly.

Many Sports Supplements fall under the regulation of FSANZ. These products are only allowed to make the claim that they are 'specially formulated to assist sports & active people in achieving their nutritional or performance goals'.
