" Overview (A Little About Me)The fitness industry in its entirety has always played a prominent role in my life. Having recovered from an eating disorder myself, I think the most valuable asset a person can possess is education. Which is why having already completed my Bachelor Degree in Business I have recently gone on to complete my Certificate III & IV in Fitness, not only to persue a passion, but in hopes that I will be able to pass on my knowledge and experience to others.
InterestsI enjoy going to the gym and reading articles related to Nutrition, Supplementation & Training. I'll never say no to a good weekend and just hanging out with friends. Favourites (Food, Bodyparts, People)My favourite food would have to be anything seafood.
My favourite body part on others would have to be nice shoulders, I think it frames a good physique.
My favourite “people” is anyone who has had the courage to overcome obstacles thought to be greater then themselves.
Motivations (What Motivates Me)To always try and exceed expectations. Failure it not having the strength to have tried. Training History (Years, Location, Trainer)I train at Fitness First and Sans Souci Leisure Centre. I have had the same trainer for the past two years which I now maintain once a week. She has been the greatest inspiration and motivation along my journey in achieving my goals. Training Schedule (Training Style and Tips)My split routine consists of:
Monday: Back & Biceps
Tuesday: Quads, Hams & Calves
Wednesday: Chest & Triceps
Thursday: Shoulders
Friday: Quads, Hams & Calves
Cardio Schedule:
Saturday: LSD – 60 min run either on the treadmill or outdoors
for the remaining 5 sessions I alternate them between various cardio equipment such as the treadmill, epilliptical machine and RPM or cycle classes.
Nutrition (Examples of My Diet)6 portioned meals every 3 hour intervals, consisting of fibrous vegetables, whole grains (oats & brown rice), high quality lean proteins (chicken & turkey) and lots of salad. Competition HistoryI have never competed but I have made it one of my priority short-term goals which I aspire to achieve Goals (Future Plans and Career Expectations)I aim to pursue my career in the finance industry either within Accounting or Financial Planning. One of my greatest goals however, is to raise awareness of the existence of eating disorders among teenagers (females in particular) as I mentioned earlier I believe education is the key to success and we unfortunately live in an society where ignorance surrounds the disorder. A healthy lifestyle should be instilled from an early age in order to prosper into the future.
