Overview (A Little About Me)
Tall , skinny lad from Cornwall, UK! Moved over here in 1998- as a nurse – started training weights with a mate from work , Big Phil.
Didn’t find traditional high rep work helped me so started dinosaur style training (Brooks Kubik) lots of sandbag work, thick bars, deadlifts and rack work- really made a difference. I slowly found myself training in strongman style till I met Warrick Brant who was looking for strongman equipment – a match made in heaven. He trains me and I had a lot of kit ( including atlas stones and then a log). Since 2007 have trained with warrick and he’s really pushed me and helped me. Visited Scotland during my honeymoon and my lovely wife , Kate allowed me time out to lift some manhood stones “ Clach Cuid Fir.” I lifted the Inver stone (265lbs granite stone) , the Dalwhinney stone , the Menzies castle stone ( a very smooth 250lbs stone) and the famous Dinnie stones – 2 stones lifted together, no wraps or straps 333kgs total weight.
I entered my first comp in April 2008 at Lismore – came 9th , then moved into the newly founded Ozstrongman federation , run by Chris Andrews. I am now training hard for the 2009 Ozstrongman season and using ASN supplements to help get me there.

Training Schedule (Training Style and Tips)
Gym work and event training mixed throughout the week. I train the basics - deadlifts, Squats, overhead pressing. Isolation exercises are for advanced trainees - if your new or want size - train the big compound movements

- Train the basics / don't believe most of what you hear and 1/2 of what you see
- Listen to yourself and your body , push hard , set goals –short term, long term
