Fight fatigue with Specialised Sports Supplements for Endurance Athletes . . .
By Liam Quixley, Arakan Martial Art Instructor
In my line of work, I dedicate over 70 hours a week, managing to inspire and energise numerous people everyday – My name is Liam Quixley and I am an Arakan Martial Arts Instructor.
4 years ago, I began my Arakan studies training twice a week while working night shift in very physically strenuous job. Soon after realizing the passion I had for Arakan, I increased my training to 4 times a week, while still balancing my time between work and training. This meant I was expending copious amounts of energy everyday and it was starting to take its toll on my body.
As much as I tried to ignore the fatigue and lethargy – I was then presented with the honour of becoming an Arakan instructor and once again my training increased from 4 days a week, to several hours every day! I started getting lots of little illnesses, colds and flu’s which I held on to for weeks and I just could never seem to recover from one before the next illness hit me.
I knew that I needed so much more energy and nutrients to keep up with this kind of training routine and there is only so much you can get from food.
It was then that I was introduced to Australian Sports Nutrition and I started using SciVation Xtend Amino’s for muscle recovery, Energize to keep my body hydrated throughout the long days of working outdoors and Evolve Incredible Bulk to help me recover and gain muscle after my own intense training sessions. The impact this had on my body was immediate – my body was no longer fatigued, I had more energy to keep me going all day – I was stronger all over and was getting the most out of every minute.
Now that I have realized the importance of supplementing my diet, I will never go back to just relying on food for my entire energy input. I’ve always found the team at ASN are always ready and willing to help with the great range of products they stock, as well as sharing their obvious passion for overall health and well-being of any person, regardless of their lifestyle.
